The Bornshorts Film Festival is a unique three-day event in Denmark on the island of Bornholm.
It's a filmmakers festival but welcomes anyone with an interest in films and filmmaking.
The event creates a platform to attract industry attention, helping build an audience for the film.

The festival opens for it's 5th time 13.09.2012 with a launch party at the Scala Cinema in the seaside town Gudhjem, and close on the saturday evening with the awards ceremony, presented by the three International judges.
All films in competition are shown in the Scala cinema, with a special out of competition programme of music videos from around the world in the bar area.

Bornshorts Film Festival offers an extensive film programme, including Q&A with the attending filmmakers between the five competing categories; Short films, Music Videos, Animation and Feature Films in both fiction and documentary, including a special award for cinematography in a short film.
The comepetitions programme is judged by three industry people, directors and producers chosen from production companies in both United Kingdom and Denmark.

The Bornshorts International panel of judges will award five competing film categories and a special award for best cinematography.
The award categories: Short film, Music Video, Animation, Feature Film (fiction & documentary) and best Cinematography in a short film.

Bornshorts er en kreativ filmfestival der giver en fantastik mulighed for både nye og erfarende filmfolk at profilere sig med deres arbejde. Filmene der udvælges til programmet deltager automatisk i competition hvor en International jury bestående af producere fra reklame -og musikvideo produktionshuse i både Storbritannien og Danmark.
Juren vil tildele priser til bedste film i hver af de 6 kategorier.

Ud af de ca. 400 film som festivalen hvert år modtager, repræsentere programmet mere end 40 lande og omkring 60 film vælges til det officielle program.

De konkurrerende kategorier er: Kortfilm, Musikvideo og Animation under 30 min. Dokumentar og Spillefilm 70 - 120 min. En special pris gives for bedste fotografering i en kortfilm.
