The Bornshorts Film Festival is two days of high quality short films from both emerging and established filmmakers. Over 300 filmlovers meet every year at the Scala Cinema in the seaside town Gudhjem where filmmakers come from around the world to engage with the audience in between the screenings.
Networking
Bornshorts help build an audience for the film and interaction with the filmmakers, between film fans or industry. We develop on-going friendships with filmmakers, and then to screen their next short as part of the official programme or their first feature length film at the festival’s opening night.
The Judges
A handpicked International team of industry producers and directors will together make sure that the awards goes to the rightful winners.
The jury will be present throughout the festival, giving all filmmakers an opportunity
to have a chat or get advice on their work.
All films that makes the official programme, will be contenders for the best film award in each of the six competing categories.
